The InMotion (Inflammation through the Menopause Transition) Study is a prospective longitudinal patient-oriented study at Massachusetts General Hospital that is investigating how systemic inflammation changes in women as they transition through menopause. This NHLBI-funded five-year study leverages complementary inflammatory molecular profiling approaches including eicosanoid metabolite, proteomic, and endothelial cell gene expression profiling.

The FLASH-CV (Finding Links between hot flASHes and CardioVascular disease) study is a randomized placebo-controlled double-blinded study investigating how menopause related vasomotor symptoms such as hot-flashes are associated with heightened indices of systemic inflammation and vascular dysfunction.
